Visit Us
Three months ago, in April 2026, our team had the privilege of making our bi-annual pilgrimage to Italy for Eurocucina. As always, we visited our partners, explored new brands, caught up with old friends, and, perhaps most importantly... ate our way through Italy. (Research comes in many forms.)

Compared to previous years, this year's exhibition actually felt a little less crowded...
Surprisingly, we weren't complaining.
Our legs definitely appreciated spending more time looking at kitchens than standing in queues. Whether attendance was lower or the organisers simply planned things better, we'll happily take the win. 😏
There was far too much to cover in a single article, so instead, I've narrowed it down to three highlights that stood out to us. Let's begin with one of our favourite brands.

Despite arriving early and making a beeline for the Snaidero booth, the queue was already stretching out. Thankfully, as Snaidero's representative in Singapore, we managed to skip the line.
Sometimes having the right badge is just as useful as having comfortable shoes.
There were plenty of exciting updates on display, including a beautiful new Ribbed Aluminium Walnut finish that immediately caught our attention

The new ribbed aluminium finish adds another layer of elegance and texture to the collection. It manages to capture the understated elegance of a darker tone unlike the existing finish.
But as impressive as the finish was, it wasn't the biggest announcement..

For years, we've always said that the kitchen should be the heart of the home. It's where people gather, chat, snack while pretending they're helping cook, and spend time together. The island naturally becomes the centrepiece of that experience.
Traditionally, creating generous seating around an island meant sacrificing either storage space or worktop surface. It was always a compromise.
Snaidero's new curved Ola base units change that.
The curved profile creates comfortable seating while maintaining some portion of the cabinet storage. Even better, the worktop extends above the curve, creating a continuous surface that feels both elegant and practical.

It's one of those features that seems simple once you see it, but opens up countless new layout possibilities. We genuinely can't wait to start incorporating these into homes here in Singapore.

Also sitting proudly on Snaidero's Ola display was Smeg's latest induction range.
What immediately stood out was the design philosophy.
While many manufacturers aim to make induction hobs disappear into the worktop with perfectly flush installations, Smeg has gone in almost the opposite direction.
Instead of hiding it, they've chosen to highlight it.
The induction hob sits slightly elevated, almost like a small island resting on the countertop. It's a bold design choice that makes the appliance feel intentional rather than something that simply needs to blend into the background.
It's refreshing to see a brand take a different approach instead of following the same design language everyone else seems to be chasing.
As with many products showcased at Eurocucina, availability in Singapore isn't always immediate. Every product still needs to go through our local regulations and safety approvals before it reaches the market.
It's a lengthy process... but we'd much rather our appliances pass safety tests than fail them when used.
If you're interested in Smeg's new Isola range, let us know. We'll happily put in a good word with Smeg.
One trend that was impossible to ignore this year was colour.
Over the past few years, deep greens, particularly Verde Alpi, have dominated both kitchens and bathrooms. This year, however, we noticed a clear shift.
From Rosso Levanto marble to rich crimson cabinetry, bold reds were appearing across many different brands and displays.

Personally, I'm still not entirely convinced by full red marble worktops.
They're absolutely stunning, but I'm not sure I'd want to wake up and stare at one every morning for the next twenty years.
If I were designing a red kitchen, I'd probably keep the cabinetry in a beautiful red finish, similar to Snaidero's Frame collection (see below), while pairing it with a lighter, cleaner worktop.

That said, good design is personal. What feels too bold to one person might feel perfect to someone else.
Who knows? Ask me again in five years and I might be writing an article explaining why I've fallen in love with red marble.
Design trends have a funny habit of changing our minds.

There were plenty more exciting products, materials and ideas that caught our attention throughout Eurocucina, and this article barely scratches the surface.

And yes, there will probably be more photos of beautiful kitchens... and possibly more discussions about Italian food than strictly necessary.
